Wakefield MAG 3rd Bingo Night - Wednesday 21st October 2015

3rd Bingo Night

We held our 3rd Bingo Night on Wednesday 21st October at the Grey Horse, and it was great to again see the room full with eager Bingo Fans, all ready to blow 20p per ticket, for the cash and prize bingo, plus all the other raffle games we had lined up.

We had promised lot's of hilarity and we didn't disappoint.

Malc, our genial Bingo caller quickly set up his fancy bingo machine, with Justine on bingo ticket selling duty.

Malc the Bingo Caller and Justine the Ticket Seller

The bingo started around 8:15 and it wasn't long before we had the first line being claimed. Following the successful line (and a nice prize of a fiver), we were then playing for the full house (and a prize of a tenner). No one managed to get a Snowball (full house in the minimum number), but it wasn't too long before we had a winner. We played 4 games in total with 4 line winners and a further 4 full house winners, so there were plenty of happy people. It has to be said though, it's not easy and you need to concentrate hard, especially if you play six tickets at once, your eyes are darting about like a kids in a sweet shop looking for the numbers ... it would have been quite stressful if it hadn't been for the copious amounts of beer !!!

Bingo Ticket

Sharon did the rounds with our 'normal' raffle tickets in the break, to win a tenner (our weekly meeting raffle usually nets the winner a fiver).

As well as the standard bingo, we also had a prize bingo, for the many prizes on offer, including multiple boxes of chocolates, multiple bottles of wine and spirits and other goodies.

Plenty of Prizes to Win

We had a little bit of a mare when drawing the prize bingo winning numbers as Malc had brought along what he thought were two books of consecutively numbered tickets, and entered them into his fancy bingo machine for it to generate the winning numbers ...... However, they weren't consecutively numbered tickets, the numbers were a thousand apart, so lots of numbers were drawn that no one had tickets for ..... Doh ..... it did add to the overall hilarity though !!!

We are very pleased to announce the Bingo raised £163.76 on the night, broken down as:

What a great result, a fantastic night was had by all, and the promised hilarity was delivered in spades !!!

All the proceeds are going to the MAG Fighting Fund, which will be richer to the tune of nearly a hundred and sixty five quid !!!

A huge thanks to Malc, our genial Bingo caller, Justine the bingo card seller, Sharon the raffle ticket seller, Martin who did the rounds collecting spent cards / tickets, and our course, everyone who turned up and made it a successful night.

There is lots of demand for another one, which we'll book for sometime in February / March next year (a nice event to look forward to in the winter months), so hope to see you there.
