The social meeting for March was organised by Deputy Dawg Pete Huby and was a night of bike racing (and not only that, but a US of A shootout between Harley Davidson and Indian). OK, the track was a piece of skirting board and the bikes were scale models but it was still a high octane adrenaline fuelled evening of motor sport at it's best ..... sort of ;-)
A throw of the comedy large dice determined how many squares your bike could travel along the track towards the chequered 'flag'. First one across the line won that race and got to stay for the next race.
We all had three races with the winner of the final race getting the grand prize of a beer glass. Rep Steve won but there were calls of cheating from Treasurer Martin .... Not my fault I had the fastest bike ;-)
