Four Wakefield MAG marshals attended the VJMC Lotherton Hall Bike Show Presentation Evening, held on Tuesday 4th October. The evening was hosted by our good friends at the West Yorkshire branch of the VJMC, and was to present the charity cheques, from the proceeds of July's highly successful Lotherton Hall Japanese Bike Show, which we helped to marshal.
The fund raising was down a little on last year but this year's show still managed to raise an amazing £12,800.00 for the 4 chosen Charities: Wakefield Hospice, Kirkwood Hospice, Andeas Gift and the Stroke Association. Each of the 4 charities were presented with a cheque for £3,200.00. Thanks were given to all those who helped make the show the overwhelming success it was and it was a fantastic joint effort for all concerned.
Following the presentations and press photo's, we all enjoyed the pie, peas and chips laid on by the VJMC.
It is great to help out the VJMC, and contribute in our own way to these worthy charities. Next years show is definitely on but the date (usually 3rd week in July) may change as it clashes with some minor sporting event in London at the same time.
