Our Christmas do was held on Saturday 7th December, and 10 of us met at the Smokehouse BBQ for our Christmas meal.
We have been to the Smokehouse several times before and it doesn't disappoint.
Following the meal, we wobbled towards the Inns of Court with our full bellies and straining belts, where we met several more Wakefield MAG members to boost our increasingly merry group at this fine licenced establishment. After several goblets of foaming ale, we ventured to the Black Rock, then made our way to stop No.3, the Red Bar, or more affectionately known as that pub up t'ginnel.
After more thoroughly delicious bevereges, we visited Henry Boons then the Swan with two necks. It was mid evening by this point so we were losing a few (to last trains (and exhaustion ;-) but the more foolish amongst us continued to yet more of the Merrie Cities fine establishments, including the Print Works, then the Hop.
Several were determined to make a night of it, but Steve, Lorna, Sharon, Terry and Chas decided to finish the evening with Wakefield's finest ... Steak Pie, Chips and mushy Peas at the Wakefield Pie shop .... What a fantastic way to finish a fantastic night !!!
Steve had an interesting journey home on what proved to be a mystery tour bus, but that's another story ;-)
Another thoroughly enjoyable Christmas Do with the Wakefield MAG Family ... Hurrah !!!
