Four Wakefield MAG members attended the VJMC Lotherton Hall Bike Show Presentation Evening on Tuesday 9th October at Lofthouse Gate WMC, Canal Lane, Lofthouse, WF3 3HN.
This years VJMC show raised £8,100 for their four chosen charities: Wakefield Hospice, Kirkwood Hospice, Andeas Gift and the Stroke Association, each walking away with a cheque for £1,900. The remaining £500 was donated to the scouts who have helped run the show every year for the past 15 years. Wakefield MAG also got a special thanks for helping to marshal the show, something we have done for the past four years now.
Following the cheque presentations and speeches, we enjoyed the buffet laid on for the presentation evening attendees.
The show was 15 years old this year and over those years more than £120,000 has been raised for charity. Sadly, this may have been the last show as membership in the West Yorkshire VJMC has become depleted, and there are not enough active members any more to run the show.
