Tony Berry, Leeds MAG Rep

It is with deep regret that we announce the tragic death of the Leeds MAG rep and MAP Director Tony Berry. Unfortunately, he lost his life doing what he loved, riding his bike while on his way to donate money for the benefit of others. The accident happened on Saturday 26 July whilst riding his bike to Helmsley to attend the presentation of a cheque to the people of the town towards their swimming pool fund as a thank you from the Farmyard Party organisers. Tony had been the Leeds MAG Rep for the last 5 years and a MAP Director for the last 3 years. An Engineer working for the Environment Agency on flood defenses, with many contacts within Leeds Council, Tony brought a wealth of skills to his post as MAG Rep. His tireless work for MAG helped shape the Farmyard party into the best biking event of the year whilst also making the Leeds area a safer and better place for motorcyclists. Pete Walker the Farmyard Party organiser recently described him as a true gentleman, a phrase that sums him up perfectly. He will be sorely missed by all those who worked with him, partied with him and knew him.
